On a side note, if your company is willing to pay what it takes to purchase licenses outright (as autodesk once allowed) paying the subscription fee is the most cost effective solution.ġ - it guarantees you always have the latest version so you get to take advantage of new features/capabilities.Ģ - it ensures you are on the same version of autodesk as your clients and any design team people they might have making workflows and coordination easier.ģ - you no longer have to worry about not being able to open files created in newer versions. But there are workarounds - like using thumb drives to transfer files, etc. ![]() It would throw a wrench into the traditional workflow. You had to register the product - which offline would consist of you typing in your serial key and company info. If I remember correctly the old registration method would allow it.
